The Basics

The 13th Annual Race 2 the Point will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

  •  9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Day of Registration
  • 10:30 a.m. Kid’s Free Fun Run
  • 10:45 a.m. Kid’s 1/2 Mile Dash
  • 11:00 a.m. 5K Run Walk

The Route

The Kids’ Free Fun Run will take place on Blue Point School property.

The 1/2 Mile Dash will leave Blue Point Primary School, go northeast/east down Eagles Nest Drive for a quarter of a mile, then turn around at the end of Eagle’s Nest and return back to Blue Point School.

The 5K race will start on Eagles Next Drive (adjacent to Blue Point school parking lot), go through the Blue Point Primary School parking lot and then go east/southeast down Pine Point Road. It will then turn around at the end of Pine Point Road (in the parking lot of Maine Seafood Ventures, right before the Clambake) and return back to Blue Point School.  Volunteers and signage will be present along the route, as well as a water station at the turnaround point.  Here is a map of the route:

Parking

Parking will be available at Peterson Field on Old Blue Point Road, which is the road next to Bayley’s Seafood restaurant on Pine Point Road (not far from Blue Point School).

Race Packet Pick-up

Packets may be picked up Friday, March 22nd from 4-7pm in the gym at Blue Point School, 174 Pine Point Rd., Scarborough or on the day of the race inside the Blue Point School Gym, starting at 9:00am.

Awards/Age Groups

5K:  The age groups are as follows: Overall; 14 and under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+.  First place male and female in each age group will be awarded prizes.

½ Mile Dash:  Kids ages 12 and under are welcome to run this event!  Parents may run with their child for FREE. Age groups for prizes are as follows:  4-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12.

Registration

Registration for the 5K is $25  for adults, $15 for studnets (18 and under) ($30 day of) and $10 ($15 day of) for the ½ mile dash and can be done online or by mail.  REGISTER HERE
