Race Day Highlights

We welcomed almost 250 registered participants this year, including:
• 163 runners and walkers in the 5K
• 84 participants in the Kids’ ½ Mile Dash
• A fantastic turnout for the Kids Fun Run

From first-time participants to seasoned runners, it was great to see so many members of our community come together.

Supporting Our Schools

Thanks to your participation and generosity, Race 2 the Point raised more than $9,000 as a direct donation to the Scarborough Primary PTA. These funds will support classroom resources, enrichment programs, field trips, and learning opportunities for students across our three primary schools.

Training Opportunity with Finish Strong Run Groups

If you are looking for a little extra motivation or structure as you prepare for race day, race sponsor Finish Strong Physical Therapy + Performance is offering two spring training opportunities:

• Spring 5K Run Group – A coached program for runners who want structured training, accountability, and guidance to improve endurance, pace, and race-day performance.
• Beginner 5K Run Group – A supportive program using a walk/run format, coaching, and education to help new runners build confidence and complete a 5K.

Both groups kick off this week and will include Race 2 the Point as a midway race to practice pacing and experience race day before their goal event later this spring.

Kick Off Your Training With Coastal Run Maine

Coastal Run Maine, one of our Gold Sponsors, created a 6-week 5K training plan just for Race 2 the Point participants — this week is the perfect time to begin!

All race participants are also invited to join Coastal Run Maine’s welcoming Tuesday night run/walk group at 6:00 PM. It’s a great way to stay accountable and train with others in the community.

Join us for a morning of fun, fitness, and community, with all proceeds supporting PTA programming, resources, and events at Scarborough’s three primary schools.

Location: Blue Point Primary School, Scarborough
Events: 5K Run/Walk, Kids ½ Mile Dash, and Free Kids Fun Run

Race day kicks off in the morning with day-of registration and packet pickup starting at 8:00 AM, the Kids Fun Run at 8:45 AM, the Kids ½ Mile Dash at 9:00 AM, and the 5K Run/Walk at 9:30 AM. Check out the “About the Race” section of our website for the full schedule and more details.
